SPICESs-Change
The 12 Apostles have been severely impacted and changed dramatically over the last century or so due to both natural and man-made causes. Erosion, waste water, harsh weather conditions, and climate change are examples of natural causes. Similarly, some human-caused causes include pollution, not walking on the correct paths, fishing, feeding animals, killing nature, engaging in prohibited recreational activities or doing so in strictly prohibited areas, and even simply dumping waste water into the ocean.

The 12 Apostles have evolved in a number of ways. Further, this has resulted in a significant decrease in the number of elegant limestacks from 12 to 8.Similarly, there is great concern about how the 8 remaining 12 Apostles will be preserved while dealing with a massive excess of water and erosion, both of which are natural occurrences, but it is believed that waste water can be minimised by first prohibiting any sewage and pipeline water from being leaked into the ocean. Furthermore, it has been documented that 2mm of limestone is eroded from each stack per year, so it is estimated that the remaining 8 Apostles will not last very long, to be specific, a few decades.

In contrast, over the last century, the 12 Apostles have been extremely exposed to a variety of factors, making them extremely vulnerable. Furthermore, because of climate change, the current rate of stone erosion is said to increase to nearly 5mm per year, implying that future generations will not be able to witness this magnificent sighting. However, it is said that it is possible to erode some caves, arches, and cliffs in the future once the current 8 Apostles cease to exist in order to create new ones, which would eventually shape themselves into the ones that look like today, for future generations to come to see the mesmerising sighting.
