SPICESS- Space

The 12 Apostles are located on Australia's southern-east coast, stretching over 2,430 kilometres along Victoria's coastline. The iconic rock formation begins in Torquay and extends down to Allansford before continuing on from Melbourne into the vast, deep blue ocean.

This extraordinary and iconic rock formation is made of eroded lime stacks, arches, and cliffs, and it covers an area of over 300,000 square kilometres when it reaches the ocean. This location is in South-East Victoria's aquatic area and is an intertidal area with a latitude of 38.6621° S and a longitude of 143.1051° E. In general, the limestone stacks appear brown and peach in colour. However, when it is sunset and the sand has mixed with the stacks, the colour of the Apostles changes into a sand-like colour with qualities of both a light yellow and a faint brown colour being mixed together, making it so elegant when seen. All of the Apostles have different shapes due to erosion and the original shapes of the cliffs and arches from which they were eroded, making them pristine. Similarly, the Apostles' spacings are estimated to be 20-30 metres apart, with a space distribution. Furthermore, some of the Apostles intersect with tidal areas, making them intertidal, but the majority do not.

The entire 12 Apostles is protected by the 12 Apostles Marine National Park, which is the key management agency for the 12 Apostles' continued survival, having done several actions such as prohibiting activities that are not permitted, as well as creating pathways that do not harm wildlife or nature while allowing us humans to enjoy the scenery. This organisation was officially founded on November 16, 2002, and has been in operation for 21 years.
